Jn #22: What the hardest thing about this class so far?

The hardest thing about this class is writing my essays. I kinda have a hard time with my essays, the is a lot of work that needs to be done. Sometimes the essay topic are topics that i really don't have much to say about. I need to learn how to plan my work and elaborate my essays. The essays topic are getting more difficult. The most difficult part of writing essay is having to write a five paragraph essay, the topics is not something that i can really say a lot about. I like to talk about my idea and view my opinion,but is difficult for me to put my idea on paper. I am gradually learning how to make my essay more interesting. I also need to organize my essays, this will make it easier for me and help me with my work.

Jn#24 Sex offender hangs himself in jail

Sex offenders are usually a target when they are imprison, because of the nature of their crime. They usual have no respect in the prison system, therefore they are picked up by other inmates. A lot of sex offenders usually have mental problem, therefore i feel they should be in a maximum security prison, where they can be watched real closely. The main problem with sex offenders is that they are sick in the head , they usually require a lot of attention. I feel like sex offenders should not just be locked up and forgotten about, the should be programs in jail that should help them mentally. It's very important to show offenders a lesson when they are paying their time.

Jn # 23 Missing Home

Sometime i wish i was back home in New Jersey. I sometime miss my friends and family. I have memories from Jersey that i cherish alot, like picture with friends and family. The best way to keep in touch with what's going on back home is through calling close friend on the phone or mailing them trough myspace. I hope i will visit home very soon, I have been hearing stories of how things have changed and old friends are all doing good in school. It is very important that i visit one of these days, so i don't loose contact with the people i grew up with. I love New jersey and everything about it. Things are different here in Arizona, but I am starting to really get use to it.

Jn#22 What the hardest thing about this class so far

The hardest thing in this class is knowing what needs to be done step by step. W e usually have a lot going on in the class. We have journals that we need to submit at the end of the week. Assignment are also due every Thursdays. This makes it very difficult to have everything due and still study for our test or quizzes. Our quizzes are usually on a broad subject, therefore it makes it hard to retain what i have studied. Sometime i get confused with all the work that needs to be done, because i have other classes. I personally think i just need to organize myself and have a schedule for my work.

Jn#21 Raise sought in airport facility fee charged to passengers

Our airports needs a lot of improvement, we should be able to feel save at the airport. The use to charge passenger is very important, so the will be money to take care of the airports and improve our new runways and to expand our terminals. Therefore i personally feel it is very important to have money to take care of all these problems. At the end of the day, we use our airports and we should feel be the ones paying to maintain it. Getting the extra money is important in the Valley because officials at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport are about to embark on a $3 billion capital improvement program. This will improve the airport in mayne ways.

Jn#20 World War II

World War two brought about alot of casualties, it was very important that the prisoners of World War were treated with respect to the human life. The Geneva Convention was very helpful, because they had laws to help prisoners of war. When soldiers of lower rank were made to work, they were compensated, and officers were not forced to work. Before this the Geneva Convention there was alot of PO W's that lost their life's due to poor conditions. Starvation and poor living condition was a main factor of life been lost. It very important that we respect human life's even though a country might be at war.

This course is getting better and better, knowing the work that has to be done. Blackboard was very difficult for me at the beginning of the course, but i have gotten use to blackboard. I have problems with the test and quizzes, i try to study for my test but most of the time, the test is on a broad topic. This makes it hard for me to retain what i have studied. This course consist of a lot of work, the essays are very important in this class, therefore i am really planning to write a good essay so i can boost my grade up. I need a lot of point in this class because i had a rough start, if i keep doing my work i hope i will pass this class with a good grade.

Jn #18 Arizona among top 10 states for mortgage fraud

Due to the high migration of Arizona from other states, the home purchase has been a booming business in Arizona. New houses are been built and the mortgage fraud has been a way to make easy money from buyers. Arizona has shot up to No. 7 in a ranking of states. Mortgage companies get a higher housing cost from the bank and pocket the difference. It very sad Arizona is experiencing this problem. Arizona regulators formed a mortgage fraud task force to tackle the state's growing problem late last year. This might be a way to solve this problem. Arizona has affordable houses to offer, it will be very sad if the pushes buyer from purchasing homes.

Jn #17Westmoreland County Coal Strike of 1910–1911

It was a strike by coal minders represented by the United Mine Workers of America. A high majority of the workers were Slovakian immigrants. This strike was also named the"Slovak strike". A number of sixteen people loss their live's. Workers demanded a eight hour day and wages. I personally feel this strike was flown out of proportion. This could have been a peaceful strike. People lost their lives and that could never be replaced. To end the strike and break the union, the coal companies began importing thousands of Eastern European immigrants to work the mines.

Jn #16: Write about whatever you like.

School is very important in t0day's society. It is the way to the future of today's youthful generation. Been a student in college is very demanding, you have to put up with all the home work and school projects. College is regarded a full time job. I am a college student who has a full time job. I sometime i think if i wasn't working, i will have more time to devote to my school work. Working is not a choice is a must, i have to work a full time job to support myself and pay the bills. I sometime wish i was living in my parent's house. This will make me focus more on my school work and i will have more time in my hands. Everybody has to grow one day and be responsible. I don't regret living by myself and i am determine to accomplish school.

Jn #15 'That's so gay' comment leads to lawsuit

In Santa Rosa, California. A classmates razzed Rebeka Rice about her Mormon upbringing with question such as "Do you have 10 moms?" she shot back That's so gay."Those three words landed the high school freshman in the Principal's office and resulted in a lawsuit that raises this question. This is ridiculous to me because that phrase "That's so gay", is used in today's youth language. School authorities should not have taking this issues so far. Lets not forget she still had her fist amendment rights. This situation was flown out of proportion by the school district Both of these students should have been corrected in a simple way. This does not deserve a lawsuit.

Jn #14: Write about a plan you came up with recently. How well did it work?

A plan i came up with recently was to try and do my school work before i live school after class. This really helps me a lot because i don't go home thinking i have a lot on my shoulders. Doing my work after school also makes me not forget my work that needs to be done because my mind is still fresh from the class before. This is easier for me and i get access to the computer with no problem. I could always find help if i need to in school. At the end of the week i find myself with not so much work to do. This gives me time to read over my notes. This plan is really working for me and i hope it starts showing results in my grades.

Jn #13: Write about your favorite commercial. Why do you like it?

My favorite commercial is the T mobile commercial with basketball star Duane Wayde and Charles Barkley. I like this commercial because it is very funny. I like the idea of bringing in the new era star and the all star legend. They looked like they were having a good time shooting the commercial. The main reason why i love that commercial is because Wayde is my favorite basketball player an Barkley is a funny character. In this commercial Barkley mocks Wayde for wearing his hat. This commercial is simple but funny. I guess it really actrated me because my cell phone service is T mobile.

Jn# 12 City mourns slain police officer

Glendale police Officer Anthony Holly was shot during a traffic stop. He was 24 year old and just got back from serving is country in Iraq. Anthony holly was now serving is community through the Glendale police department. This incident had shocked the valley, this is a young that gave a lot to is community and is country overseas. Officer Holly will be remember as one of the young heroes, is death will not be in vain. Justice should be prevailed. This young man died protecting is community. Lord knows what will have happened if this bandits did not get stopped. They will have probably terrorised somebody else. It is good to have the feeling that the are officers out there really doing their jobs to keep us save. I hope the acquaintance are brought to justice and punished severely to set an example out there. May Officer Holly soul rest in perfect peace.

Jn#11 What is the most spectacular place you have ever seen? How did you react to it?

The most spectacular place i have ever seen is the navy base in florida. Growing up i always wanted to be in the navy. Being able to seen the navy base made me really want to be part of the navy. The aminition they got were just like big toys to me. It was amasing to see how discipline every body was. The naval base in florida was a eye opening to me, i will not excitated to take another tour to another naval base.

Jn#10 John Lester

John Ashby Lester was an American cricketer, he played cricket in the early 19 Th and early 20Th centuries. He was a famous cricket player in Philadelphia before the World War I. John Ashby brought a lot of positive attitude to Philadelphia. He was a role model to a lot of people. I personally feel his name should be honored as one of the great sports figures of the 19Th century. Sports is a way to to bring a positive attitude and John Ashby was a great example for that.

Jn# 9 Being black in the valley.

The valley is getting a lot of mixed cultures. Houses are getting more affordable for the average family. Some people from different states find it difficult to adjust, when they moved to the valley. The valley has seen a a growth in black population not only in south phoenix but through out the state. More people move in everyday from different states in search of opportunities the valley offers. The valley is starting to be more of a melting pot. Afro American are moving here for fresh starts and affordable housing.

Jn #7: Something I noticed about myself today.

Something i noticed about myself is that i need to start taking Miss cooper class real seriously. This is something i payed for therefore i need to make the best out of this class and come out with flying colors. The first couple of weeks have not been the best weeks in Miss cooper class, but i feel i can achieve more than that. I have gotten used to her class and i know what i need to do to be successful. I am going to pull my weight up, and look for help when i need to be helped in her class. I hope everything work out for me and i pass her with a grade A.

Jn #6 Priest arrested in valley appears in Valey court.

This priests are getting out of control. How many time is a priest going to sexual assault someone, for us to take action. First of all this priest is to be considered as role models. They should be careful what kinda priests out there are been ordain. Ken Ritter is a Roman Catholic priest accused of beating and sexually assaulting a female. Ritter made is initial court appearance on Tuesday. To my personal understanding of this story, this priest acts like he has no remorse. I think this should be well investigated and if he comes all guilty. He should end up paying a serious sentence, to set an example for this false priests out there.

The United state Of America is planning is planning an army join force for the African Continent. This force will be controlled by the U.S.A. This army is said to take effect on September 2008. I personally feel Africa is a continent on his own, therefore their people should have a big part on controlling their army. United States has a way of controlling other countries for their own benefits. Slavery dates are over, Africans should be sponsored financial to develop their own army. This army should not be ruled by others, for the people of Africa.

Jn#3 Would you like to be famous? Why or why not? What would you like to be famous for?

Been famous has never been one of my desire in life. I personally feel been famous comes with to much responsibilties and a lot of stress. famous people always have to watch what they are doing or saying, because they feel they are contantly been watched. I personaly will like to live my life and not try to impress nobody. I will like to be famous for saving people lifes, i see myself as a fireman. The best way to be famous to me is by saving lifes. That give you something to be proud about.

Jn#3 Write about a time someone dared you to do something.

The time were i was dared to do something, was when i was playing a pool game with my friends. I was dared to drop the broken ball in the whole in seven minutes. I was playing a game with my best friend who is very competitive. I am not that good in playing pool, but i took of the challenge. It was a tough game, but i really tried to pull it off because i have a hard time lossing.I won the dared, i don't know how i did it. But everyone said it had more to do with luck.

Jn#2:What are your strongest communication skills? What other skills or talents do you have?

My strongest communication skill is trough drawing. I express myself in an artistic way, drawing has always been my hobby, it is very easy to bring my emotions out on a piece of paper. I am not the loud type, so this help me voice my opinions and feelings. My skill is playing football. I am a running back, i play football all my life. I am very good at it, i am not playing for any team rite now because i have a full time job and i attend school. I look at my skill as one of my hobbies.

jn#1. Real Life Goals & Course Goals

My real life goals are very hard to achieve but with determination and hard work the is nothing inposible. I plan on staying in school for a very longtime. I want to be a pharmacist in life. I have just started taking steps to achieve that goal. I started taking classes at south mountain community school and plan on transferring to Arizona State University. My goals for now is to stay focuse in school and graduate with flying colors from South Mountain to be able to transfer to a four year college. My real life goals are very important to me, i plan on having a private pharmarcy.I will like this to be a family bussiness, so i can open a easy future for my family. I don't want to truggle in life. I have made up my mind to follow my goals and make the best out of it.
